Notre Dame's Jessica Menz broke the school discus record to lead the Bulldogs at Saturday's Class 3 Sectional 1 track and field meet in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
Menz won the event with a distance of 128 feet, 2 inches.
The top four finishers in each event advance to the state meet Friday and Saturday in Jefferson City, Mo.
Menz also qualified in the shot put by placing fourth. Teammate Myriah Berard was first.
Elizabeth Kiblinger was also a double individual qualifier for Notre Dame's girls, in the 1,600 and 3,200.
Notre Dame's Seth Sievers qualified in two individual events on the boys side, the shot put and discus.
Duncan Ross was the Bulldogs' lone sectional champion. He captured the title in the pole vault.
Perryville's Terry Davis qualified by taking second in the 200. Teammate Jacob Lawrence was third in the triple jump.
Notre Dame's girls were second among 27 teams with 48 points, trailing only Affton (71).
Notre Dame's boys placed fifth among 22 squads with 53 points. Festus won with 103.

Area athletes claimed three sectional titles during Saturday's competition in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Central's Chleo LeGrand won the pole vault, and Jackson's Paden Wachter won the discus on the girls side. Wachter also qualified by placing fourth in the shot put.
Jackson's Dillon Rush was first in the boys pole vault, while Jackson's Brannon Wright was a double individual qualifier, placing second in the 200 and 400.
Jackson's boys were third among 19 teams with 57 points, behind only Eureka (70) and Lafayette (61).
