The Zalma volleyball team dealt some revenge to the visiting Bell City, winning a best-of-five thriller Tuesday.
The Bulldogs prevailed 26-24, 25-18, 21-25, 8-25, 25-23.
Bell City handed Zalma its first loss of the season a week ago in the opening round of the Woodland Invitational Tournament.
Zalma upped its record to 3-3, while Bell City dropped to 4-3-1.
Shelby Sawyer recorded eight kills and six digs as the Cardinals picked up their first conference victory in the road sweep of the winless Indians.
Krista Rhodes nailed seven kills for Woodland (5-0-2, 1-0 SCAA Conference). Madison Cover dished out 10 assists and Anna Deck tallied seven assists, three aces and two digs. Chelsea Cureton notched 16 digs to pace the Cardinals' defensive effort.
Puxico dropped to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the SCAA Conference.

Abbie McAlister slammed 14 kills as the Bulldogs handed the Mules their first loss of the season in the road sweep.
Allyson Jansen added eight kills for Notre Dame (2-0). Maddie McClintock dished out 16 assists for the Bulldogs, while Marianna Below recorded 13 digs and Lexi Welter had 11 digs.
Bernie fell to 2-1 with the loss.

Madison LeGrand tallied eight kills to lead Oak Ridge to its first win of the season in three sets.
Jessica Hahs served three aces and added three kills for Oak Ridge (1-5).
Charleston dropped to 1-4 with the loss.

Kassidy Kassel and Jackie Verseman each had seven kills to lead the Indians in the win at home over the Crusaders.
Delia Lowman added five kills for St. Vincent (2-1). Karly Huber dished out 14 assists and Jenna Walker added 10 assists for the Indians.
Ashley Fritsche led Saxony Lutheran with six kills and 12 digs. Jordan Hecht recorded six kills and eight assists, and Allie Sprink tallied six kills and six digs. Brianna Mueller had nine assists and three kills for the Crusaders (3-2-2).
JV -- St. Vincent won 18-25, 25-12, 25-7
Bella Bowers notched 14 digs in the Rams' loss on the road to the Hornets.
Hannah Shemonia tallied 12 digs for Scott City (0-3) and Chloie Raines served four aces.
Advance improved to 5-1-2 with the victory.

Dexter's Krysten Garrison dished out 13 assists, nailed five kills and put up three blocks to lead the undefeated Bearcats to an easy road win over the Tigers.
Bailee Williams added 16 assists for Dexter (4-0). Addie Kruse recorded six digs and five kills, and Hannah Thurmon added four kills for the Bearcats. Brittany Brown had five digs.
Central fell to 1-3.

The Mules picked up their first SEMO Conference regular-season victory in a sweep of the Indians at home.
Poplar Bluff upped its record to 2-1 overall and 1-0 in the SEMO Conference, while Jackson fell to 1-2 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

The Panthers were swept in straight sets by the visiting Indians.
Bismarck improved to 3-0, while Meadow Heights fell to 2-3-1.

Noel Friedrich served two aces and added two kills for Eagle Ridge (2-2). Sarah Jackson served three aces and Callie Hefner had four aces and two digs for the Eagles.
Sophomore Sarah Bell carded a three-under-par 68 to earn medalist honors at the 18-team Rockwood Summit Invitational at The Falls at Dardenne in O'Fallon, Mo.
The Bulldogs finished eighth overall in the team standings.

Central sophomore Brogan Davis set two state-qualifying cuts to lead the Tigers to a vengeful victory in a home dual with the Golden Griffins at Central Municipal Pool.
Davis won the 500 freestyle with a state-qualifying time of 5 minutes, 2.87 seconds and the 200 freestyle with a state cut of 1:47.65. Junior teammate Reagan Ragsdale also set a state qualifier in the 100 butterfly with a first-place finish of 56.07 seconds. The two teamed with sophomore Sam Hahs and senior John Young in the 200 freestyle relay for another state qualifier with a first-place time of 1:32.71.
Vianney defeated Central in last year's dual.
The Tigers will compete withNotre Dame on Friday in a three-team meet at Mary Institute & St. Louis Country Day School (MICDS).
