All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Woodland junior right-hander Aaron Yount pitched a no-hitter in the Cardinals' 10-0, five-inning baseball victory against Delta on Monday.

Yount struck out five, walked one and hit two batters in improving to 2-0.

C.J. McAlister went 3 for 4 with a double and triple for host Woodland (6-2). Teammate Garrett Reynolds also had a double among his two hits.

Tyler Koenig went 3 for 3 in the Crusaders' loss at home.

Jon Winkler took the loss on the mound for Saxony Lutheran (6-4).

The Crusaders host Meadow Heights in the opening round of the Oak Ridge tournament Thursday.

Josie Long slammed a home run and went 3 for 5 to lead the Cardinals to a win at home.

Kathlyn Cooper was the winning pitcher and had a double for Woodland (4-4), which had seven doubles overall.

Valerie Lewis added two doubles for the Cardinals, while Chelsey Kirkpatrick, Kendra Pinkley, Mackenzie Rhodes and Lindsey Craft each had one. Keighlyn Lincoln had a triple. Rhodes had three hits, while Lewis and Pinkley both had two.

The Bobcats were paced by Meagan Parker, who had a pair of doubles. Megan Perry also had a double among her three hits.

Allison Moldenhauer scored three goals to lead the Pirates to a win in their opening round-robin game at a tournament in Hillsboro, Mo.

Libbi Schnurbusch added two goals, while Alexandria Spears and Courtney Borden both had a goal.

Miranda Stortz made six saves in recording the shutout.

Perryville (4-3) will continue round-robin action when it faces Maplewood at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Saxony Lutheran 3, Anna-Jonesboro 0

Abby Hadler scored two goals to help the Crusaders win at home.

Sarah Winningham added a goal for Saxony, which improved to 5-1.

Regan Obermann finished with two assists, while Nicole Hemmann had one.

Abby Goeckeler recorded the shutout in goal.

Jackson 3, Bishop DuBourg 0

Hailey Callis had two assists to lead the Indians in the win at home.

Erin Eakens, Hailey Mouser and Jordan Myer scored the goals for Jackson (6-3).

JV -- Jackson won 4-1.

Central 1, Marion (Ill.) 1

Kristen Begley scored the Tigers' lone goal in a tie at home.

Megan Daly assisted on the goal for Central (2-5-1).
