Woodland's Krista Rhodes recorded 12 kills and nine digs as the third-seeded Cardinals upset second-seeded Bernie in straight sets (25-13, 25-15) Thursday and booked a spot in tonight's championship volleyball match of the Stoddard County Activities Association (SCAA) Conference Tournament.
Kelsee Long tallied four kills and four blocks for Woodland (18-6-2). Anna Deck served three aces and notched 11 digs, while Madison Cover provided 11 assists, and Chelsea Cureton notched 28 digs for the Cardinals. Emma Rinacke had five blocks, two aces and two assists, while Whitney Lincoln had 10 assists and two blocks.
Woodland will face top-seeded host and two-time defending tournament champion Dexter for the title. The Bearcats (23-4-2) downed fourth-seeded Advance 25-19, 25-15 in Thursday's other semifinal match to advance to the title match. Advance (15-9-2) will face Bernie (16-8-2) for third place tonight.

Leopold's Emily Seiler tallied four digs, three kills and two aces as the top-seeded host Wildcats edged fourth-seeded Oak Ridge 25-21, 25-18 in a semifinal of the Mississippi Valley Conference Tournament.
Ashley Nussbaum added three kills and three blocks for Leopold (12-12). Patience VanderMierden recorded eight assists, three digs and two aces, while Brittany Garland notched nine digs for the Wildcats.
Leopold will face second-seeded Meadow Heights for the championship tonight. The Panthers (11-10-2) rolled over third-seeded Zalma 25-18, 25-16 in Thursday's other semifinal. The Bulldogs (7-13-1) will face Oak Ridge (3-18) for third place tonight.
Senior Abbie McAlister nailed 11 kills to lead the Bulldogs in the win at home over the Tigers on Senior Night.
Senior Sam Feeney dished out 18 assists for Notre Dame (24-2-1) and Briley Bieser notched five digs for the Bulldogs.
Festus fell to 9-13-2.

Jordan Hecht recorded eight digs and four kills as the Crusaders disposed of the visiting Rebels.
Allie Sprink added four kills for Saxony Lutheran (17-11-4). Logan Franke notched 13 digs while Brianna Mueller contributed eight assists and three aces for the Crusaders.
Park Hills Central fell to 3-23-1.

Ahnie Hoff hammered 18 kills and notched 18 digs to pace the Pirates in the three-set loss to their crosstown rivals at the Perry Park Center.
Brooke Hogard tallied 15 digs and eight kills for Perryville (21-11-2). Maci Hotop recorded nine digs and four kills, while Kayla Buxton dished out 32 assists for the Pirates. Hannah Layton contributed four kills.
St. Vincent improved to 20-7-3.

Blake Bauwens scored two goals and had one assist to lead the Bulldogs in the road win over the Crusaders.
Ira Holcomb and Wyn Roberds each netted a goal for Notre Dame (11-8-1). Devin Ross contributed one assist for the Bulldogs.
Saxony Lutheran dropped to 8-11 with the loss.

St. Francis Borgia upped its record to 13-3-1 with the victory while Perryville fell to 16-4.

Cape Central junior Reagan Ragsdale and sophomore Brogan Davis each set two state qualifiers as the Tigers placed first in four events to finish third overall in the team standings in the six-team meet at the Central Municipal Pool.
Ragsdale set his two state qualifiers in the 200 individual medley (2 minutes, 4.98 seconds) and 100 backstroke (53.91 seconds) with first-place finishes in each event. Davis finished first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1 minute, 4.44 seconds and second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 22.98 seconds for his two state qualifiers. Davis finished 57 seconds behind Chaminade senior Jesse Jo in the 50 freestyle, who placed first in the event with a state qualifiers as well as one in the 100 freestyle as the Red Devils took first place in six events to claim first place in the meet.
Notre Dame's Mitchell Heisserer produced the lone first-place finish in the 100 butterly for the Bulldogs, who managed to squeeze out a second-place team finish.
Jackson's Jack Gard had one first-place time in the 500 freestyle to lead the Indians to a fourth-place team finish.
