The Woodland boys and Oak Ridge girls cross country teams claimed the SEMO Small Schools Conference titles on Tuesday.

Woodland's Logan Thomsen led the Cardinals with a second-place finish time of 17 minutes, 57 seconds as the Cardinals had four of its runners place in the Top 10.

Zalma's Peyton Ford crossed the finish line two seconds ahead of Thomsen to win the race for the Bulldogs, who had three of their runners finish in the Top 10 to take second place overall in the team standings.

On the girls' side, Oak Ridge's Taylor Seyer and Jordan Layton placed fifth and sixth, respectively, as the Bluejays edged Chaffee by seven points in the team standings to take the title.

Woodland's Cheyenne Wells won the race with a first-place time of 22 minutes, 54 seconds as the Cardinals finished fourth in the team standings behind Saxony Lutheran. Courtney Bangert followed Wells in second place (23 minutes, 26 seconds) to pace the Crusaders. Delta's Jamie Hodge finished 24 seconds behind Bangert in third place.

Poplar Bluff 5, Notre Dame 3

Poplar Bluff's Stephen Rowland netted two goals to lead the Mules in the win at home over the Bulldogs.

Kameron Misner, Adam Vincent and Jeff Hardin each added a goal for Poplar Bluff (13-9).

Mitchell Kramer, Carmen Mirgeaux and Andrew Parsons each scored one goal for Notre Dame (11-11-1). Eduardo Castillo had two assists for the Bulldogs.

BOYS SWIMMING

Cape Central 99, Notre Dame 87

Cape Central sophomore Brogan Davis and junior Reagan Ragsdale each won first place in two events to help lead the Tigers to victory in a dual with the Bulldogs at Central Municipal Pool.

Cape Central won first place in 10 out of 12 events to close out the regular season with the win. Davis won the 50 freestyle (22.34 seconds) and 100 freestyle (51.45 seconds) while Ragsdale placed first in the 200 individual medley (2 minutes, 3.80 seconds) and 100 butterfly (55.48 seconds).

Notre Dame sophomore Drew Beussink won the 200 freestyle (1:59.45) and senior Lucas Hurley won the 100 breaststroke (1:11.78) to pace the Bulldogs.
