All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Freshman Krista Rhodes netted a game-high 22 points as the Woodland girls basketball team squeaked out a 55-54 road win over Scott County Central on Monday.

Shelby Sawyer added 10 points for Woodland (7-8).

Maddison Avance bucketed 13 points for Scott County Central (5-13).

Kaitlin McFerron scored a game-high 14 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Red Devils in the win at home.

Jordan Pruitt sank 13 points and Kylie Wilhite added 10 points and two steals for Chaffee (13-5). Lindsey Harrell also grabbed six rebounds and Carleigh Burnett tallied two steals. Julia Sutterfield put up a double-double with 10 rebounds and 10 assists to go along with her eight points and four steals for Chaffee.

Courtney Brown led St. Vincent (6-9) with 12 points.

Marquette 61, Jackson 54

The Indians dropped their opener in the Lindbergh Invitational, falling to 9-6 on the season.

Marquette improved to 10-5.

No further details from the game were available.

Jackson will face Northwest Cedar Hill at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in tournament play.

Scott City 70, Leopold 25

Brock Uelsmann drained a game-high 20 points to lead the Rams in the lopsided win at home.

Dylan Keller sank 12 points and Trent Pobst chipped in 11 points for Scott City (13-5).
