Scott City easily downed Twin Rivers and Caruthersville in pool play during the first day of the SEMO Spike volleyball tournament Friday at the Show Me Center.
The Rams took Twin Rivers 25-12, 25-10 with 10 kills, two aces and 15 digs from Brooke Simpson. Katie Diebold added four aces, 11 digs and 15 assists while Stephanie Essner recorded five kills and seven digs. Mikah Simpson chipped in four kills and seven digs.
The Rams beat Caruthersville 25-10, 25-7 behind Brooke Simpson's 13 digs and four kills. Diebold finished with four digs, 11 assists and two aces.
Notre Dame also rolled to a pair of victories. The Bulldogs defeated Marquand 25-3, 25-5. Meghan Dohogne had six kills and three aces while Shannon Brennan added 10 assists and four aces. Amy Wibbenmeyer contributed five aces.
Notre Dame then downed Park Hills Central 25-6, 25-15. Dohogne led the Bulldogs (9-1) with 10 kills. Kate Edwards added five kills and Lindsay Strieker tossed in four.
Jackson took care of New Madrid 25-6, 25-6 behind Ashleigh Lawson's nine digs. Rachael Meyr added five aces and six assists while Jill Rushin had three kills and two blocks.
In Jackson's (7-1) second match, it overtook Seckman 25-22, 25-16. Meyr had 12 assists, seven digs and four kills in the win. Taylor Glueck had five kills, five digs.

The Bobcats' Taylor Keys went 2 for 4 and recorded the save in the circle.
Keys struck out two batters while allowing two hits and one earned run. Kendra Burnett earned the win for Delta (6-4). She faced 12 batters and struck out six.
Angel Stone took the loss for the Crusaders, allowing five hits and two earned runs.

The Eagles (5-2) won a home game on penalty kicks.
Eagle Ridge scored on four penalty kicks after a scoreless regulation and two 10-minute overtimes. Sam Davis, Josh Carbaugh, Roy Yoon and Aaron Margrabe scored in the win while Ethan Grant recorded the shutout with 11 saves.
