High school roundup: Scott City baseball team defeats Oak Ridge

Travis Phillips blasted a triple among his three hits as the Scott City baseball team claimed a 10-7 road victory Thursday against Oak Ridge.

Winning pitcher Levi Pettit, added two hits for the Rams, who improved to 17-5.

Pettit gave up six runs on six hits over 4 1/3 innings. He recorded four strikeouts and had one walk.

Pitcher Jake LeGrand took the loss for the Blue Jays.

Hunter Seyer led Oak Ridge (9-9) with three hits, while Kelby Brown and Andrew Buchbauer each had two

Trevor Green hit a double among his two hits as the Pirates rallied for a road win.

Tyler Bohnert was the winning pitcher. He threw a complete game and gave up one earned run on four hits with no strikeouts and no walks for Perryville (11-13).

Jared Walker suffered the loss for Chaffee (20-7). He pitched a complete game and gave up three earned runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and one walk.

Storm Estes hit a double to pace the Red Devils.

Chaffee led 2-0 after four innings, but Perryville score one run in the fifth and two in the sixth to grave the lead.

Tyler Holligan added two hits for Perryville.

Woodland improved to 12-13.

Michael Morey suffered the loss for Greenville (7-12).
