High school roundup: Saxony Lutheran soccer team trims Bluff 3-2

Taylor Johnson netted the game-winning goal as Saxony Lutheran defeated visiting Poplar Bluff 3-2 in boys soccer Monday.

Logan Sprandel had two goals and one assist in the win, while Brandon Klinkhardt and Hunter Coe both added an assist.

Zach Beal recorded four saves in goal.

VOLLEYBALL

Leopold 25 25 Oak Ridge 15 10

The Wildcats (13-10) won at home in two games.

Caitlin Petty had seven kills, five assists and two blocks in the win, while Denai Arnzen added four kills.

JV -- Leopold won 2-0.

Perryville 25 25 Park Hills 14 16

Natalie Gremaud led the Pirates with eight kills in the home win.

Morgan Mueller had nine digs, while Ashley Bachmann had a team-high 12 assists.

Alex Spears added six kills for the Pirates (24-2).

Jackson 25 25 Fredericktown 18 9

Kelsey McDowell had 20 assists, three kills, three aces and three digs in the Indians' home win.

Chelsea Fowler had seven kills and four digs, while Miranda Craft had five kills and one block.

Hailey Mouser added five kills and two aces as the Indians improve to 15-11-1.

Jackson will host Scott City on Wednesday in a match that will decide the Southeast Region Volleyball Conference regular-season championship.

Dustin Parsons won two events for the Bulldogs as Notre Dame finished third in a three-team meet at SLUH.

Parson won the 200 IM in 2 minutes, 13.56 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:00.59.

Jackson Voss added a win in the 200 freestyle (2:07.94), while Matt Jedlinski won the 500 freestyle (5:38.67).
