High school roundup: Saxony Lutheran boys basketball team tumbles in Chester Invitational

The Saxony Lutheran boys basketball team fell in overtime to host Chester 60-53 in the semifinals of the Chester Invitational on Thursday.

Clayton Carver led the Crusaders (5-8) with 17 points, while Trent Steffens netted 13 points.

Saxony Lutheran will face New Athens, Ill., for third place at 5:30 p.m. Saturday. Chester will play Perryville for the title at 7 p.m.
