The fourth-seeded East Prairie boys basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament by beating No. 5 Scott City 72-50 in the quarterfinals Monday in Delta, Mo.

East Prairie built a 20-7 lead in the first quarter and led 31-19 at halftime. The Eagles took a 47-39 lead into the fourth quarter.

Seth Bays scored 26 points for the Eagles, while teammate Damion Tipler finished with 14.

Trent Pobst led Scott City with 11 points, while Isiah Berry added 10.
