All the local high school events reported Wednesday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Perryville volleyball team closed its regular season with its 27th victory, which came in a two-game sweep of visiting Scott City.

Kristen Triller had six kills in the Pirates' 25-8, 25-15 victory.

Angie Hoehn tallied eight digs, and Katlyn Ellsworth had two blocks for Perryville (27-5-1).

The Pirates begin Class 3 District 1 action next week in Dexter, Mo. Perryville, the No. 2 seed, plays No. 7 Fredericktown in a first-round game at 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Jackson 25 25 Seckman 19 15

Melinna Craft had seven kills and two blocks in the Indians' final home match of its regular season.

Chelsea Fowler served four aces and dished out 13 assists, while Sara Thompson recorded five digs for Jackson (13-17-2).

Jackson opens Class 4 District 1 play at 5:15 p.m. Monday in Poplar Bluff, Mo. The Indians will face Hillsboro in the first round.
