All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Perryville volleyball team continued its strong season with a 25-22, 20-25, 25-14 victory over host Jackson on Monday night.

Natalie Gremaud had 14 kills for the Pirates, who improved to 26-5.

Ashley Bachmann had three aces, and Katlyn Ellsworth had three blocks.

Hailey Mouser led Jackson (12-17-2) with nine kills and 11 digs. Melinna Craft added eight kills, while Miranda Craft had three blocks. Chelsea Fowler had three aces, 17 assists and 10 digs, while Sarah Blanton had 13 digs.

JV -- Perryville won 26-24, 26-24

Notre Dame 26 25 Dexter 24 18

Notre Dame's Myriah Bernard had nine kills, and Karsen Powers had 10 digs in the home victory. Sarah Lawrence and Miranda Fowler each added six kills, while Taylor Ward had 17 assists to help the Bulldogs improve to 28-2-1.

JV -- Notre Dame won in two games.

Leopold 26 25 St. Vincent 25 19

Leopold's Alli Woodfin had eight kills, two assists and three digs in the home victory.

Caitlin Petty had four kills, 13 assists and five aces, while Sydney Eeftink added nine assists, three digs and two aces. Denai Arnzen also contributed with five kills and nine digs to help the Wildcats improve to 22-3-1.

BOYS SWIMMING

Notre Dame 119, Central 57

Notre Dame claimed first place in nine events to win the dual meet at Central Pool.

The Bulldogs' Jackson Voss finished first in the 200 freestyle (1:58.98) and the 100 backstroke (1:03.46).

Voss also swam a leg on the Bulldogs' winning 400 freestyle relay.

SOCCER

Saxony Lutheran 6, North County 1

Saxony's Logan Sprandel netted three goals and had two assists while Brandon Fritsche had one goal and one assist in the home victory.

The Crusaders' Anthony Etzold and Hunter Coe both had one goal. Jason Kreuger, Curtis Boren and Joe Rubach all contributed one assist.

GIRLS GOLF

Class 1 tournament

Notre Dames's Camille Brewer shot a 90 and was tied for 17th after the opening day of the Missouri Class 1 girls state tournament at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club in New Bloomfield, Mo.

The Bulldogs' Morgan Schumer opened with a 98, while Amy Blattel was at 102.

Westminster Academy's Brooke Cusumano led the field with a 75.

Class 2 tournament

Ft. Zumwalt South's Amanda Kim shot 1-over-par 73 for a four shot lead after the first round of the Missouri Class 2 girls state tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Parkway West's Emily Jan Goldenstein was alone in second with a 77.

Lafayette (Wildwood) led the eight-team competition at 358, nine shots ahead of Notre Dame de Sion. Rock Bridge was in third place at 368.
