High school roundup: Perryville football team dumps Potosi to snap losing streak

The Perryville football team tasted victory for the first time in 16 tries Friday.

The Pirates knocked off visiting Potosi 35-34 for their first win since Oct. 16, 2009.

No other information on the game was made available.

Perryville will try for a two-game winning streak when it hosts Fredericktown (1-2) on Friday.

Morgan Schumer captured medalist honors at Dalhousie Golf Club in the Bulldogs' home win.

Schumer carded a 10-over 46.

Camille Brewer (47), Amy Blattel (50) and Andrea Younghouse (50) rounded out Notre Dame's scoring.

The Bulldogs return to action Monday at Clayton.

The Eagles scored nine runs in the top of the sixth inning to earn the road win.

Chrissy Sauceda and Courtney Scheeter both connected for two doubles for the Eagles (6-5).

Addie Kielhofner added a double, while Aubrianna Jones earned the win in the circle.
