Perryville defeated host Chester 54-42 to win the Chester Invitational championship Saturday.

Jared Thieret led the Pirates (12-4) with 15 points and added six rebounds, while Jake Dobbelare added 12 points, six rebounds and four blocks.

Colby Brown netted eight points and had five blocks, while Bryce Weibrecht had seven points and seven rebounds in the win.

Saxony Lutheran fell to New Athens, Ill., 58-38 in the third-place game.

Gabe Bohnert led the Crusaders (5-9) with 12 points, while Clayton Carver added seven.

The Tigers sank two free throws to go up by four points in the fourth quarter, and they held on for the home win.

Dwight D. Eisenhower hit a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left for the final margin.

T.J. Tisdell netted 25 points and pulled down 17 rebounds, while Jamal Cox had 20 points and eight rebounds for Central (11-4).

Garan Evans also had 20 points with five assists, while Vance Toole recorded seven assists in the win.

Eisenhower was 15 of 60 from 3-point range in the game.

Central returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Saxony Lutheran.
