Benjamin Parsons scored two goals to lead the host Notre Dame Bulldogs boys soccer team to a 6-0 victory in the crosstown showdown with the Central Tigers on Tuesday afternoon.
Chandler Dorris, Will Popp, Wynn Roberds and Noah Huff each had a goal for the Bulldogs (14-3-2).
Notre Dame goalkeeper Thomas Himmelberg had three saves in the shutout.
Central fell to 4-14.
JV -- Notre Dame won 2-0.
Class 1 sectional
Notre Dame's Carly Hopkins and Maddie Walker downed host Potosi's Maci Bennett and Megan Arnold 6-0, 6-0 in a Class 1 sectional to qualify for the state tournament.
Hopkins and Walker will compete for placement at the Class 1 state tournament Oct. 17 and 18 in Springfield, Missouri.
Central junior Josie Powell and Jackson junior twin-sisters Madison Mumma and Mackenzie Mumma all fell in the Class 2 sectional at Kirkwood Park in Kirkwood, Missouri.
Powell, a two-time District 1 champion, fell to Katherine Dolan of Cor Jesu, 0-6, 0-6.
The Mumma sisters, the District 1 doubles champions, lost to the Kirkwood team of Marua Dunn and Emily Kickham, 0-6, 0-6.
Leopold 25 25 Greenville 20 13
Caitlin Petty recorded 10 kills, eight assists, five aces and one block as the state-ranked Wildcats swept the Bears and clinched the Mississippi Valley Conference (MVC) title at the same time.
Bailee Cope added six kills, three aces, three blocks and two digs for Leopold (19-2-3). Emily Seiler tallied nine assists, four digs and three kills while Leah Landewee had seven digs, three kills and two aces for the Wildcats.
Leopold posted a 5-0 record in regular-season conference play with straight-set victories over Greenville (25-20, 25-13), Marquand-Zion (25-8, 25-7), Meadow Heights (25-5, 25-17), Oak Ridge (25-9, 25-15) and Zalma (25-8, 25-6).
Leopold is seeded first in the MVC Tournament, which starts tonight at Greenville High School, and drew a bye for the first round. The Wildcats will play the winner of tonight's quarterfinal between fourth-seeded Oak Ridge (4-13-3) and fifth-seeded Zalma (2-16-3) on Thursday. The championship is slated for Friday.

Ahnie Hoff had four kills as the Pirates made quick work of the host Terriers.
Macie Christisen added three kills for Perryville (22-7-1), while Daria Thompson had two kills.

The fourth-seeded host Wildcats rebounded after dropping the first set to oust the Cardinals (13-11-2) and advance to Thursday's semifinals in the Stoddard County Activities Association (SCAA) Conference Tournament.
Bloomfield (16-8-2) will face top-seeded defending champion Dexter (24-2-1) at 7 p.m. Thursday. Third-seeded Advance (14-11-2) will take on second-seeded Bernie (19-8) at 8 p.m. in the other semifinal. It will mark the Hornets' and Mules' third encounter thus far this season. The Mules won the first two meetings. Bernie advanced after downing seventh-seeded Richland (4-14-2) in Tuesday's other quarterfinal.
The Eagles claimed their fifth win in the three-set road win.
Oran improved to 5-13. Charleston fell to 3-12-2.

Abbie McAlister slammed nine kills to lead the host Bulldogs in the crosstown showdown.
Lydia Goodson added eight kills for Notre Dame (17-5-1). Sam Feeney recorded 15 assists, six digs and two aces for the Bulldogs, while Lexi Welter tallied six digs and two aces.
The Tigers dropped to 7-20.

Hannah Shemonia notched six kills in the Rams' loss at home.
Bella Bowers and Anna Kern each served three aces for Scott City (6-18). Natalie Woods had two blocks for the Rams.
New Madrid County Central improved to 11-11-2.
The Indians dropped a close match to the Tigers on the road.
St. Vincent fell to 17-10-2. Festus upped its record to 4-13-3.

Jessie Gartman had 12 kills to lead the Eagles to the win in Carbondale, Illinois.
Callie Hefner served five aces and dished out 14 assists for Eagle Ridge (12-3).
Chaffee 16, East Prairie 1
The Red Devils scored 10 runs in the first inning and wrapped up their regular season with a four-inning win.
Kylie Wilhite picked up the win in the circle and also doubled at the plate. She went the distance and had seven strikeouts and no walks.
Julia Sutterfield belted three doubles for Chaffee (8-13) in each of her three times at the plate.
Grace Sutton was the losing pitcher. She threw a complete game.
Jocee Dunn had a solo home run and a double to pace East Prairie.
