All the local high school events reported Tuesday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Oran baseball team advanced to the Class 1 Distrcit 2 championship with a 10-0 win over Advance in five innings Tuesday in Leopold.

Dalton Elfrink pitched all five innings for the win and also had a big day at the plate.

Elfrink was 2 for 3 with a double and five RBIs. He struck out 11 and walked one batter on the mound.

Bernie ended Leopold's season with a 7-3 victory in the other semifinal. The Mules scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie.

Joe Elfrink took the loss for Leopold. He struck out six and walked five in six innings of work.

Freshman Austin Bucher and senior Seth Landewee both had two hits for Leopold.

Oran and Bernie will play in the title game at 4 p.m. Thursday at Leopold.
