Hannah Scherer scored 14 points as the fourth-seeded Eagles flew to the consolation title of the Lady Red Devils Invitational Tournament in an upset of third-seeded Woodland on Saturday at Chaffee High School.

Allie Cummins sank 13 points and Ashlyn McIntosh chipped in 10 points for Oran (3-1).

Mara Grinstaff recorded a game-high 18 points and Heidi Green added 11 points to pace Woodland (1-3).

Puxico's Kaytlynn Haynes scored a whopping game-high 30 points to lead the fifth-seeded Indians to third place over the sixth-seeded Bobcats in the Chaffee Lady Red Devils Invitational.

The Indians held a 19-point lead at halftime and went on to outscore the Bobcats by 14 points in the second half on their way to victory.

Faith Oliver netted 12 points and Katelyn Pierre tossed in 10 points for Puxico (3-1).

Tamera Crowden and Meagan Parker each had six points to pace Delta (2-4).

Sam Brennan scored nine points and dished out six assists in the Bulldogs' loss to the Class 5 Angels on the road in the suburban St. Louis area.

Maddie Urhahn netted eight points and grabbed five rebounds for Notre Dame (1-4). Allie Ziegler also snagged five rebounds for the Bulldogs.

Kelly McLaughlin and Mary Barton each bucketed game-high 12 points for St. Joseph's Academy (2-2).

Ladue Eudal Early Season Invitational

The Notre Dame girls swi team finished third at Saturday's 11-team Ladue Horton Watkins Eudal Early Season Invitational in the suburban St. Louis area.

Junior Madison Heisserer posted a second-place state-qualifying time of 1 minute, 2.68 seconds in the 100 backstroke event to help propel the Bulldogs. Sophomore Megan Peters also clinched a second-place state-qualifying time of 1:02.77 in the 100 butterfly for the Bulldogs.

Jackson junior Caitlyn Palmer finished first in three events for the Indians, who placed seventh in the team standings. Palmer won the 100 individual medley and the 25 freestyle with a time of 11.63 seconds, which shattered her own meet record in the latter event. She also posted a first-place state-qualifying time of 1:00.05 in the 100 butterfly for the Indians.
