All the area high school events reported Thursday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Oak Ridge boys basketball team won 64-59 at St. Vincent on Thursday as the Blue Jays reached the 20-win plateau for the first time in school history.

Brett Thomas recorded 25 points to lead Oak Ridge (20-4). Garret Light added 17 points while Caleb Elam had 11 points.

Brock French paced St. Vincent (11-11) with 17 points and Kyle Rollet added 13.

Gabe Kielhofner led the Eagles (16-9) with 20 points and Jon Morrow poured in 17.

Bell City 57, Doniphan 51 OT

Bell City tied the score in the final minute of regulation and went on to an overtime win on the road.

After Jeff Long scored with 30 seconds left to tie the game at 47-47, Doniphan held the ball for a final shot, which it missed.

The Cubs (8-15) then outscored Doniphan 8-2 in overtime. Jason Hess hit on all four of free throws in the extra period for Bell City.

Skylor Blackler scored a game-high 25 points for Bell City, and Long added 12.
