Christina Scherer got on base all of her three times at bat and drove in two runs to help lead the Notre Dame softball team to a 7-3 home win over Festus on Wednesday.

Haylie Santos was the winning pitcher for Notre Dame (11-1). She threw four innings and gave up three earned runs on six hits. She had three strikeouts and walked three.

Cailey McFadden went the distance and sustained the loss in the circle. She allowed seven earned runs, struck out two and walked none.

Adrea Mueller took the loss in the circle. She pitched 4 1/3 innings and gave up seven earned runs on seven hits. She had three strikeouts and walked seven.

Sarah Bell carded a two-over-par 38 to earn medalist honors as the Bulldogs defeated the host Terriers in a dual at the Hickory Ridge Golf Course in Carbondale, Illinois.

The Bulldogs didn't drop a single set and posted their third consecutive flawless victory this week in a sweep of the visiting Trojans.

Notre Dame improved to 9-2 while Potosi dropped to 6-4.

Emma Basler nailed seven kills and had five digs as the Dragons notched their 10th win of the season in a straight-set victory of the visiting Crusaders.

Avery Reed added seven kills for Ste. Genevieve (10-3-3). Courtney Donze recorded four kills and two blocks while Madison Reynolds tallied seven digs, three kills and two aces. Natalie Engel contributed seven assists and three kills while Riley Meyer dished out 12 assists and served two aces for the Dragons.

Brianna Mueller tallied eight digs, four assists and three kills to pace Saxony Lutheran (9-7-2). Logan Franke contributed five kills and two aces and Ashley Fritsche had 11 digs for the Crusaders.

JV -- Ste. Genevieve won 25-15, 25-19

Anne Wilferth recorded five kills as the Tigers collected their second win of the season in the conference road sweep of the Rams.

Brittany Guzman added four kills for Cape Central (2-9-2, 1-2 SEMO Conference). Kassidy Gowan notched 15 digs, Kassidy Pannier dished out 13 assists and Brianna Guzman put up five blocks for the Tigers.

Kaleigh Dirden tallied two kills and two aces to pace Scott City (4-11, 0-4). Bailee Lathum added two kills and Hannah Shemonia notched 15 digs for the Rams.
