Sam Cox belted two doubles and had three RBIs while sophomore Will Gilmer pitched a complete game win as Sikeston defeated host Notre Dame 7-1 in SEMO Conference baseball action Thursday.
Gilmer was given a three-run lead before taking the mound after Sikeston touched up Bulldogs starter Noah Brown in the first inning. Sikeston added four insurance runs in the seventh to secure the victory.
Gilmer allowed one unearned run on three hits and two walks while striking out four for Sikeston (14-8, 4-3 SEMO Conference).
Brown went six innings, allowing six earned runs on seven hits and five walks for Notre Dame (14-7, 4-3). He also struck out five.

The Eagles broke a three-game losing streak with a lopsided road win.
Derez Tipler went 4-for-5 with a triple and three RBIs, Carson Aycock smacked two doubles with two RBIs and Dalton Coots added two hits, including a triple, and three RBIs.
Kasten Campbell pitched all six innings for the Eagles (10-8), striking out 12. He allowed four runs (two earned) on seven hits and one walk.
Jordan Barker took the loss on the mound for Oak Ridge (4-16). He gave up nine runs (seven earned), allowed five hits and walked six over 1 1/3 innings. Tyree Curry pitched 4 2/3 innings of relieve ,giving up seven runs (four earned) on eight hits. He walked one and struck out five.
Cole Schemel had two hits and Jordan Gilliland added a double.

BENTON, Mo. -- Marrisa Jones scored two goals as the host Hawks posted a shutout on senior night.
Lynsey Powers and Hailey Noon each added one goal and one assist. Maegan Walker added a goal while Emmy Bolen had an assist for the Hawks (12-11).
Kelly keeper Tori Duenne made 12 saves.
Fredericktown fell to 5-9-1.
