Dean Crippen and Christian Job each went 2 for 3 at the plate as the Notre Dame baseball team closed its regular season with a 2-0 victory over North County on Thursday.
Adam Pope got the win on the mound for the Bulldogs, who improved to 22-5. He threw five innings and gave up no runs on five hits. He had two strikeouts and walked none.
Sean Pruneau went the distance on the mound for North County (7-17) and took the loss. He allowed two unearned runs, struck out three and walked one.
Notre Dame is the top seed in the Class 4 District 1 Tournament, which starts Saturday at Doniphan. The Bulldogs will face the winner of Saturday's quarterfinal between fourth-seeded Fredericktown (10-15) and fifth-seeded Kennett (10-17) at 2 p.m. Monday.

Trent Pobst blasted a triple to lead the Rams in the easy five-inning road victory to close out the regular season.
Tyler Rogers was the winning pitcher for Scott City (16-12). He threw two innings and gave up one hit with one strikeout and one walk.
Joe Grieme took the loss on the mound for Oak Ridge (2-16). He pitched 1/3 inning and allowed six runs on three hits with one walk.
Caden Hillemann and Dylan Keller both had three hits for the Rams, while Braden Cox and Jordan Kluesner each had a double and two hits.

Britt Harris, Patrick Maddox and Nathan Spence each had a double and two RBIs apiece for the Indians.
Thomas Trankler sustained the loss. He pitched 3 1/3 innings and gave up eight earned runs on seven hits. He struck out four and walked one.
Hunter Schlosser had two of the Eagles' four hits and drove in one run. Preston Hahn added one hit and one run to pace Oran (13-6).

The Pirates closed their regular season with a conference win at home over the Dragons (6-19, 0-6 Jefferson County Conference).
Perryville improved to 15-6 overall and 3-3 in the JCAA Conference. The Pirates will face third-seeded host Notre Dame (7-15) in the Class 2 District 1 tournament at 3 p.m. Saturday.
