Notre Dame freshman Allison Bray carded a 6-over-par 76 to tie for third place at the Class 1 Sectional 1 meet at the L.A. Nickell Golf Course in Columbia, Missouri, on Monday to qualify for the state tournament.
Fellow Bulldog freshman Sarah Bell finished one stroke behind Bray, along with MICDS junior Nicole Shearing, to also qualify with senior teammate Mattie Beussink for the Class 1 state tournament Oct. 13 and 14 at the Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Missouri.
Beussink tied for 12th place with an 85.
"This is Mattie's first time going to state, so as a senior that makes it extra special," Notre Dame coach Jerry Grim said. "And the others [Bell and Bray] are just learning what it's all about."
Logan Otter of John Burroughs shot a 73 to earn medalist honors.

Nikki Peters struck out nine and did not walk a batter as the Bulldogs wrapped up their regular season with a win at home.
Peters allowed four hits in going the distance for Notre Dame (18-4). The Bulldogs host the Class 3 District 1 tournament, which begins today. Notre Dame drew the top seed and will play the winner of today's quarterfinal between third-seeded Perryville (7-17) and sixth-seeded Fredericktown (3-19) at 4 p.m. Thursday.
Aubrianna Jones took the loss for Oran (5-15). She pitched a complete game with five strikeouts and one walk.
The Eagles, seeded fifth, open Class 1 District 1 tournament play at 4:15 p.m. today against fourth-seeded Winona (13-8) at Naylor.

Grace Mirly belted a triple and drove in three runs as the Crusaders concluded their regular season with a win on senior night.
Ashley Steck picked up the win in the circle. She pitched five innings and had eight strikeouts and two walks.
Logan Meyr added a triple for Saxony Lutheran (16-8).
Madison Pikey suffered the loss. She went the distance and gave up five earned runs on 12 hits.
Courtney Slayton hit a triple to pace Doniphan (6-7).
Saxony begins Class 2 District 1 tournament play today in Puxico, Missouri. The third-seeded Crusaders take on sixth-seeded East Prairie (1-12) at 2 p.m.

Josh Scholl scored four goals to lead the Indians to a victory at home.
Liam Gray and Hunter Crowden added one goal and one assist apiece for Jackson (8-6-1). Preston Arnold also had a goal and Caleb Wadley added one assist.
Goalkeeper Brayden Emmons made four saves.

The Crusaders dropped to 4-10-2 with the road loss.
Poplar Bluff improved to 7-10-1.
SCAA Conference tournament
Freshman Alanis Below had eight digs, seven kills and three blocks as third-seeded Advance staved off a scare from sixth-seeded Puxico, winning 25-20, 25-23 in the opening round of the Stoddard County Activities Association (SCAA) Conference tournament in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Brylee Morse added five kills for the Hornets (14-11-2). Lexis Garner notched eight digs, while Hannah Clark added nine assists and two aces for the Hornets. Puxico dropped to 10-16-1.
Advance will play the winner of tonight's quarterfinal between second-seeded Bernie (18-8) and seventh-seeded Richland (4-13-2) in Thursday's semifinals.
Top-seeded Dexter (24-2-1) eliminated eighth-seeded Bell City (3-17-2) 25-10, 25-5 in Monday's other quarterfinal. The Bearcats will play the winner of tonight's other quarterfinal between fourth-seeded host Bloomfield (15-8-2) and fifth-seeded Woodland (13-10-1) in the semifinals.
The visiting Knightettes (14-6) crushed the Tigers in straight sets.
Central fell to 7-19.
JV -- Farmington won in two sets.
The Indians improved to 11-13-2 with the road sweep.

Abbie McAlister served eight aces to help lead the Bulldogs in the easy win at home.
Emily Timpe and Sam Brennan added two services aces apiece for Notre Dame (16-5-1). Lydia Goodson finished with seven kills, while Briley Bieser and Lexi Welter had two kills each. Sam Feeney dished out 14 assists, and Mackenzie Lynch recorded six digs to pace the Bulldogs defensively.
New Madrid County Central dropped to 10-11-2.

Caitlin Petty recorded eight kills, three assists, three digs and two blocks as the Wildcats cruised in the conference road win.
Ashlyn Bucher had six kills and Bailee Cope added five kills, two aces and two blocks for Leopold (18-2-3). Emily Seiler notched 10 assists and two digs for the Wildcats.
Oak Ridge fell to 4-13-3.
Jordan Hecht slammed six kills as the Crusaders coasted on the road.
Raegan Wieser had four kills and two aces for Saxony Lutheran (13-12-5), while Logan Franke added nine service aces. Nichole Mobley recorded five digs and Brianna Mueller tallied 11 assists and five aces for the Crusaders.
Marquand fell to 1-18-1.
Alex Spears recorded 14 kills and seven digs as the Pirates avenged a weekend loss to their Class 3 nemesis.
Brooke Hogard added five kills and four blocks for Perryville (21-7-1). The Rebels ousted the Pirates in Saturday's championship bracket semifinal of the Perryville Invitational Tournament.
"My girls came out and were fired up tonight," Perryville coach Dave Mirly said. "It felt good to beat them back, especially on their senior night."
Ahnie Hoff added four kills and two digs for the Pirates, and Morgan French had two aces and two digs.
Mirly said he is looking forward to possibly facing the in the postseason.
"They're a very solid team," he said. "Nothing would make happier than to play them again."
