All the local high school events reported Tuesday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Notre Dame boys volleyball team concluded its regular season at home with a 25-10, 25-13 victory over Metro-East Lutheran on Tuesday, claiming its 20th win in the process.

Tyler Allen and John Fennewald each had five kills for the Bulldogs, who improved to 20-7. Rhett Simmons served four aces and Kendall Young tallied seven digs for the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs drew the top seed in districts and open district pool play at 5 p.m. Friday against Fort Zumwalt East (8-16-1) at Meramec Community College in the suburban St. Louis area.

BASEBALL

Central 2, Ste. Genevieve 1

The Tigers mustered just one hit but prevailed with two unearned runs in the first inning, securing their first winning regular season since 2011.

Josh Morse accounted for Central's lone hit in its regular-season finale.

Chase Hagerty grabbed the win on the mound for Central (13-11). He pitched four innings and gave up one unearned run on two hits. He had four strikeouts.

Cody Stacy was the tough-luck loser for Ste. Genevieve (12-13). He allowed just one hit over six innings. He had eight strikeouts and walked two.

Chaffee 4, Leopold 1

Kodi Ballard and Lane Henson each hit a double as the Red Devils won on the road.

Austin Copeland was the winning pitcher for Chaffee (12-13). He pitched 4 2/3 innings and gave up no runs on three hits. He struck out eight and walked none.

Cord Cooper sustained the loss on the mound. He pitched five innings and allowed two earned runs on six hits. He had one strikeout and no walks.

Garrett Thele and Blake Eeftink each added a double for Leopold (3-15).

Wyatt Eldridge went 2 for 3 at the plate, including a double, and drove in two runs to help the Indians to the win at home.

Jarrett Newell got the win on the mound and also went 2 for 3 at the plate for Jackson (17-10). He pitched six innings, gave up no runs on three hits, struck out six and walked three.

Matt Phillips took the loss for Festus (15-9). He pitched two innings and allowed two earned runs on six hits.

Ty Householder drove in four runs as the Hawks closed conference play at home with a five-inning victory.

Householder, who had a triple and went 4 for 5 at the plate, also went the distance on the mound for Kelly (11-15, 3-3 Scott-Mississippi Conference). He allowed one earned run, struck out 11 and walked three.

Steven Burton was the losing pitcher for Scott County Central (9-8, 3-4). He threw 2/3 of an inning and gave up six earned runs on two hits. He walked three and struck out none.

Crystal City's Braden Cox had a double to lead the Hornets in the win at home.

Cox also went the distance on the mound for Crystal City (10-9). He gave up one earned run, struck out five and walked one.

Jordan Rellergert took the loss for St. Vincent (11-8). He pitched six innings and allowed two earned runs. He had five strikeouts and walked four.

Brandon Abner cracked a double as the state-ranked Cubs erupted for four runs in the sixth inning to win at home.

Cole Nichols went the distance on the mound and also doubled to lead Bell City (19-2). He gave up one earned run and had 10 strikeouts.

David Wells went 2 for 3 to pace East Prairie (7-13).

The Cubs wrap up the regular season today on the road against state-ranked Greenville (18-1).

Sikeston's Torrie Helms netted one goal and had one assist as the Bulldogs won at home.

Sydney Henson and Kyra Rainwater added one goal apiece for Sikeston (11-10). Mackenzie Yant dished out two assists for the Bulldogs.

Central fell to 6-14 with the loss.

St. Joseph's Academy 10, Kelly 0

The Hawks ended their inaugural varsity soccer regular season with a lopsided loss to the undefeated Angels (18-0) on the road in the suburban St. Louis area.

Kelly (7-11-1) begins Class 1 District 1 tournament play at 7 p.m. Monday against second-seeded host St. Vincent (12-9).

BOYS TENNIS

Notre Dame 5, Arcadia Valley 0

The second-seeded Bulldogs did not drop a match in a semifinal sweep at home of the third-seeded Tigers in the Class 1 District 1 team tournament.

Notre Dame (8-3) will travel to Dexter to take on the top-seeded Bearcats (9-0) for the district championship today at 4 p.m.
