All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Meadow Heights' smothering defense proved too difficult for Oran to crack.

The Panthers girls basketball team limited the Eagles to eight or fewer points in every quarter on their way to an 85-24 win Monday.

Meadow Heights led 45-11 at halftime.

Erin Bollmann led the Panthers with 17 points, 13 rebounds and six steals.

Heather Dietiker added 16 points and six assists to help the Panthers improve to 14-2.

Cheyanne King led the Eagles with seven points.
