All the local high school events reported Friday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Leopold volleyball defeated Greenville 25-13, 25-14 to claim the Mississippi Valley Conference tournament title Friday at Zalma.

Caitlin Petty had four kills, three assists, two service aces, two blocks and three digs in the victory.

Denai Arnzen had three kills and seven digs. Sydney Eeftink had two kills, 11 assists and six digs and Ashlyn Bucher had six kills.

The Wildcats improved to 24-4 with the win.

Oak Ridge won the third place game against Meadow Heights 25-11, 25-23.

Leopold, which is seeded No. 1 in the Class 1 District 4 tournament to be held at Meadow Heights, will travel to No. 2 seed St. Vincent for a regular-season meeting Monday.

SCAA Tournament

No. 4 seed Advance defeated second-seeded Woodland 25-21, 20-25, 25-19 to finish third at the Stoddard County Activities Association tournament at Bernie.

Dexter defeated Bernie for the tournament title. The Bearcats won 25-19, 23-25, 25-12.

SOCCER

Eagle Ridge 3, North County 1

The Eagles improved to 11-6 with the win.

Michael Perez scored twice and had one assist in the victory. Jordan Cliff scored one goal.

Lane Henson played in goal for the Eagles.

Eagle Ridge will compete in the Missouri Christian Athletic Association tournament this week in Joplin, Mo.

FOOTBALL

Living Word 50, Scott City 14

The Rams dropped their fifth consecutive game.

Scott City trailed 14-8 afterone quarter, but Living Word outscored the Rams 36-6 the rest of the game for the final deficit.

Freshman quarterback Braden Cox completed 13 of 29 passes for 105 yards and threw no interceptions. Cox had 21 carries for 92 yards and two touchdowns. Zach Carlyle had seven carries for 49 yards.

Austin Spriggs had five receptions for 45 yards and Isiah Berry had four receptions for 34 yards.

Jake Elders had eight solo tackles for the Rams (1-6).

Living Word, ranked No. 3 in Class 3, improved to 8-0.

St. Vincent 63, Grandview 0

The Indians, who led 56-0 at halftime, improved to 5-3 with a dominating road victory.
