All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Leopold and St. Vincent advanced to play in the championship match of the Class 1 District 4 tournament with straight-game victories at Meadow Heights High School on Monday.

The top-seeded Wildcats defeated No. 4 Oak Ridge 25-20, 25-11 while the No. 2 seeded Indians beat No. 3 Advance 25-11, 25-22.

Advance reached the semifinals with a win 26-24, 25-10 over No. 6 Oran.

Advance senior Allie Below had 14 assist and three kills against St. Vincent while both Ashtyn Hudson and Grayson Miles had five kills for Advance.

Both Leopold and St. Vincent had byes into the semifinals.

The championship match will be played at 6:30 p.m. tonight.

Class 3 District 1

No. 2 Notre Dame downed No. 7 Fredricktown 25-11, 25-14 to advance to the semifinals.

Kaitlin Welter tallied eight kills, which was the most for the Bulldogs. She also had 13 assists. Madeline Rosenquist finished with a team-high 16 digs.

Rosenquist and Welter earned all-conference honors along with Lydia Goodson, Karsen Powers, Taylor Feeney and Annie Siebert.

No. 3 Dexter defeated No. 6 Doniphan 25-7, 25-12 while No. 4 Kennett beat No. 5 New Madrid 25-23, 25-17.

The Bulldogs face No. 3 seeded Dexter in the semifinals at 6:45 p.m. today at Notre Dame. The winner of that match will the winner of the Perryville-Kennett contest at 8 p.m. Perryville and Kennett will play at 5:30 p.m.

The Indians recorded the two-overtime victory at home.

Liam Grey tallied a goal and an assist while Ryan Harvey scored a goal. Michael Depuy had an assist.
