All the local high school events reported Monday to the Southeast Missourian.

Caitlin Petty recorded nine kills to help the Leopold volleyball team to a 25-22, 25-22 road victory over host Woodland on Monday night.

Petty also had seven assists and two blocks for Leopold, which improved to 16-2-3.

Bailee Cope added six kills, five aces and three blocks, while Ashlyn Bucher added five kills, two aces and two digs. Emily Seiler had nine assists, three digs, two aces and one block.

Krista Rhodes had six kills and one block to lead Woodland (11-10-1). Madison Cover dished out eight assists, and Vanessa Wiseman added seven digs and three assists. Lexie King tallied six aces and three digs, and Chelsea Cureton notched seven digs.

Jordan Hecht smashed 11 kills to lead the Crusaders in the three-set home sweep on Pink Out Night.

Amber Bergmann tallied six kills and three blocks for Saxony Lutheran (9-9-3), while Logan Franke added six kills. Brianna Mueller recorded 17 assists and Abigail Bergmann notched eight digs for the Crusaders.

Bell City fell to 3-14-2.

Autumn Reid had 12 digs and nine kills, but it wasn't enough as the Indians fell on the road to their district foe.

Hannah Hunt added five kills and Olivia Leible had two blocks for Jackson (7-9-2). Maci McCuan recorded seven assists and seven digs, while McKinzie Scott had nine assists and one block. Kayla Thurman had 16 digs to pace the Indians defensively.

Farmington improved to 12-5.

Advance 25 25 Sikeston 21 19

Freshman Alanis Below hammered eight kills to help lead the Hornets in the road sweep.

Krystal James added six kills for Advance (12-10-2). Ashtyn Driskill and Hannah Clark both finished with 11 assists. Brylee Morse served four aces and Kimsey Lillard notched 10 digs.

Sikeston dropped to 5-11-1.

FALL SOFTBALL

Central 19, Neelyville 5

Central's Sarah Kitchen and Megan Smith each doubled twice to lead the Tigers in the five-inning road rout.

Maggie Groshong picked up the win in the circle. She went the distance, allowing five hits, striking out six and walking three.

Maddie Daum was 5 for 7 for Central (7-15), which finished with 22 hits.

Sydney Tollison, Brooke Anderson, Ally Vaughn and Smith all finished with three hits apiece.

Kylee Hart pitched a complete game and took the loss.

Alli Law hit a double to pace Neelyville (8-10).

Schlimpert struck out six and walked two over seven innings.

Grace Mirly belted a triple and Kelli Brunke added a double for the Crusaders (14-7).

Sarah Handrahan took the loss for Jefferson (8-7). She allowed seven hits, struck out eight and walked one.

Kelsi Miller hit a double and drove in two runs to help lead Portageville (16-6).

Carleigh Burnett took the loss for Chaffee (6-12). She allowed 10 hits in pitching a complete game. She struck out seven and walked two.
