Mallory James smacked 10 kills to go with three digs and two aces in leading the Leopold volleyball team past host Advance on Thursday.

The Wildcats posted the 25-22, 25-15 victory to move to 10-2 this season.

Abby Landewee added nine kills, three blocks and three digs, while Sydney Eeftink put up 23 assists in the win.

Leopold returns to action Monday when it hosts Marquand.

Bloomfield 21 26 25 Scott City 25 24 19

The Rams took the first game but couldn't manage the second in falling on the road despite 30 kills from junior Katie Hogan.

Hogan added 14 digs, but the defending Class 2 state champions fell to 9-2-1.

Mikah Simpson added 29 digs and eight kills, while Sydney Short contributed 12 assists and 10 digs in the loss.

JV -- Scott City won 25-11 25-9.

Perryville 25 25 Hillsboro 16 16

The Pirates continued their hot play with a road win.

Samantha Amberger put down four kills and Courtnea Plunkett added seven assists for Perryville (14-1).

Catie Oberndorfer added seven digs.

JV -- Perryville won 25-5, 25-5.

Zalma 25 25 Woodland 14 12

Torie VanGennip tossed up 35 assists to lead the Bulldogs to victory on the road.

Lesta Newberry added nine kills and three blocks for Zalma (12-1).

Kendra Pinkley led the Cardinals (1-10) with six kills.

JV -- Woodland won 19-25, 25-18, 26-24.

Meadow Hts 25 25 Fredericktown 15 17

Jillian Mills collected five kills and three aces to help the Panthers win at home.

Erin Bollmann added six kills, while Heather Dietiker chipped in five as Meadow Heights boosted its record to 8-5.

JV -- Meadow Heights won 26-24, 27-25.

Oran 22 25 25 New Madrid 25 22 20

Cheyanne King pounded nine kills, four aces and added four digs to lead the host Eagles to victory.

Kali Mills added 12 service points, eight kills and three blocks.

Addie Kielhofner had nine assists and four digs as Oran boosted its record to 2-2-2.

JV -- New Madrid won 25-16, 17-25, 25-15.

SOFTBALL

Central 7, Jefferson 1

Kadie Orenstein struck out eight and walked three to earn the win.

Chelsea Sterling doubled and drove in a pair, while Chelsea Willett and Lexi Smith both drove in one.

Tatiana Reagan tripled to help the Tigers improve to 6-7.
