All the area high school events reported Thursday to the Southeast Missourian.

Leopold held off an Oak Ridge comeback and advanced to the championship game of the Woodland tournament with a 42-40 victory Thursday night in boys basketball action in Marble Hill, Mo.

Brandon Jensen led the Wildcats, who were outscored 12-5 in the fourth quarter, with nine points.

The Wildcats will face top-seeded Perryville at 8 p.m. today in the title game.

Jacob Light led the Blue Jays with 13 points.

Perryville defeated Meadow Heights 63-49 behind 25 points by Bryce Weibrecht. Jake Dobbelare added 13 points for the Pirates.

Calen Buerck led the Panthers with 16 points in the losing effort.

Oak Ridge and Meadow Heights will play for third place at 6:30 p.m. today.

Delta advanced to the consolation final with a 68-60 victory against Scott City.

Chase Crowden recorded a game-high 31 points for Delta.

Delta will face Zalma at 5 p.m. in the consolation final.

Host Crystal City defeated Saxony 64-40, while Grandview turned back St. Vincent 44-40.
