All the local high school events reported Thursday to the Southeast Missourian.

Kyle Stroder scored 20 points to help lead the Leopold boys basketball team to a 52-39 victory against Oak Ridge in the championship game of the Mississippi Valley Conference tournament Thursday night.

Cameron Davis added 10 points for the top-seeded Wildcats.

Jake LeGrand and Hunter Seyer both scored nine points for No. 3 seed Oak Ridge.

Chaffee defeated Zalma 71-55 to claim third place.

Alex Crowe led the third-seeded Red Devils with 23 points, while Charlie Montgomery finished with 18.

Austin Sitze scored 23 points for Zalma.

Leopold beat Greenville in the JV championship game.
