The St. Vincent boys basketball team got two decent looks in the closing seconds but couldn't convert against Ste. Genevieve on Wednesday.
The Indians missed two shots in the final 10 seconds in their 61-60 road loss.
Trent Elder hit a shot with about 25 seconds left to give St. Vincent a 60-59 lead, but the Dragons answered with 16 seconds left.
St. Vincent inbounded and got the ball to Dylan Richardet, who took an open 3-pointer, but the ball rimmed out. The Indians got the rebound and Tim Schumer let go a shot from the free-throw line as time expired, but that shot also failed to fall.
Mark Kutz led the Indians (7-13) with 14 points, while Sean Martin added 13. Kutz added 11 rebounds.
Schumer dished out five assists.
Brendan Weiler paced the Dragons with 28 points, including seven 3-pointers.
