High school roundup: Kelly football collects first road win, shutout in Kentucky

The Kelly Hawks made school history Friday night with their first varsity football road win and first shutout rolled into one.

The Hawks improved to 2-3 with a 41-0 pounding of host Fulton County, Kentucky, on Friday night.

Affton 49, Perryville 16

The Pirates fell in a 35-0 hole by halftime in sustaining their third straight loss.

Perryville (2-3) scored both its touchdowns in the fourth quarter. Trevor Green scored on a 3-yard run and Garrett Dix scored on a 71-yard pass from Brandon Renaud.

Leopold 25 25 Bell City 9 10

The Wildcats notched their second win in two nights by rolling past the visiting Cubs.

Leopold (13-1-3) received six kills, five assists, two blocks, two digs and three service aces from senior Caitlin Petty.

Bailey Cope and Klara Beel both had four kills, while Emily Seiler recorded eight assists and six service aces.

Eagle Ridge wins pair

Eagle Ridge defeated Crosspoint 15-25, 27-25, 15-9, then turned around and defeated Providence Academy 25-11, 25-18.

Boys soccer

Crosspoint 3, Eagle Ridge 0

The Eagles allowed three first half goals and fell to the Cougars on the road.

Eagle Ridge dropped to 3-6.

John Burroughs 116, Notre Dame 59

The Bulldogs took second place in all but one event in a loss to the Bombers on the road.

Lucas Hurley turned in the lone win for the Bulldogs, winning the 100 breaststroke.
