There was only one minor upset in the opening round of the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament as fifth-seeded Kelly squeezed out a 70-66 win over fourth-seeded East Prairie to advance to Thursday's semifinals at Oran High School.
Ty Householder led Kelly with 29 points. Maurice Davis added 12 points for the Hawks.
Seth Bays drained a game-high 33 points and Brandon Evans tossed in 20 points to pace East Prairie (9-7).
Kelly (6-10) will face top-seeded and defending tournament champion Scott County Central at 7 p.m. Thursday
Expectations were met in the bottom half of the bracket as second-seeded Scott City crushed seventh-seeded Delta 87-10 and third-seeded host Oran trampled sixth-seeded Chaffee 74-28.
Braden Cox recorded a game-high 17 points for Scott City (11-4).
Hunter Schlosser tallied a game-high 22 points and had five steals and four rebounds to lead Oran. Max Priggel netted 18 points and Jacob Priggel notched 12 points and five rebounds for the Eagles. Thomas Trankler dished out seven assists, grabbed five rebounds and had four steals for Oran (12-5).
Scott City and Oran will meet an 8:30 p.m. semifinal Thursday.
Chaffee dropped to 0-14 and Delta fell to 0-15 with the losses.
