Jackson enjoyed a comfortable lead entering the seventh inning before erasing any doubt with 10 runs in its final at-bat Wednesday.

The Indians routed Central 17-2 behind four RBIs from Chelsea Dye and another three from Brooke Whitledge.

Whitledge went 3 for 5 with a pair of doubles, while Demesha Huddleston added two hits and two RBIs.

Mallory Jones struck out four over six innings to earn the win.

Brooke Baugher doubled for one of Central's two hits.

Kristen Vetter had two hits for Kelly, and Addie Kielhofner delivered two hits for Oran.

Saxony Lutheran senior Kristin Dippold broke up Farmington's dominance.

Dippold placed second in 19 minutes, 36 seconds. She was the only non-Farmington runner in the top eight.

The Crusaders' Tori Winter took 11th to help Saxony's girls finish second with 68 points.

The Delta boys took second behind Zach Riegert's second-place finish. He crossed the line in 17:10.

Saxony's Sam Breite was seventh, and Advance's Braden Bien took eighth.

Meadow Heights' Daylan Davis crossed the line 10th.

Hunter Garrison, Ryan Schlick, Cody Boehme and Todd Heuring scored on their penalty-kick attempts.

Seckman missed on three of its four tries.

Jacob Scholl scored Jackson's first goal off an assist from Zack Taylor.

Clay Baker scored the Indians' second goal.

Austin Baker made five saves to help Jackson improve to 9-3.

Central 2, Poplar Bluff 1

David Watts had a goal and an assist to lead the Tigers' road victory.

Calvin Lovig also scored for Central (6-8), while Miles Edwards added an assist.
