FARMINGTON, Mo. -- Jackson got 24 points from Andrea Koeper as the second-seeded Lady Indians advanced to the finals of the Farmington Tournament with a 59-55 win over No. 3 Farmington Wednesday night.

Koeper made 13 of her 16 foul shots -- most of them down the stretch -- and pulled down seven rebounds for Jackson. She scored 22 of her points in the second half.

Koeper was the only player in double figures for Jackson, but Jenna Leet scored nine points, all on three-pointers.

Lisa Boyd led Farmington with 19 points.

Jackson will play top-seeded Park Hills Central for the championship at 6:30 tonight.

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Deana McCormick scored 19 points as Notre Dame (5-0) got out to a 19-2 lead after the first quarter and coasted to the victory.

Lady Bulldogs coach Jerry Grim thought his team played well in flashes, but was a bit inconsistent.

"We moved the ball well at times and at other times we laid back and let them dictate the tempo," Grim said.

McCormick was the only player for either team to reach double figures.

STE. GENEVIEVE, Mo. -- The St. Vincent Squaws improved to 2-1 on the year with a win in the Valle round-robin tournament.

Danielle Sutterer, a 5-foot-10 St. Vincent post player, had quite a night, scoring 25 points -- 63 percent of her team's total. She was the only player who scored in double figures.

"She had a good night," said St. Vincent coach Terry Wengert. "She played real hard and the rest of the crew did a good job of feeding her."

Central ninth-graders

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Cape Central's ninth-grade teams remained perfect on the season with wins over Perryville.

Central's 'A' team (3-0) won 50-19, getting nine points each from Micah Reutzel and Mitch Craft.

The Tigers' 'B' team (2-0) won 56-24. Martez Bell led the way with 20 points.

Central eighth-graders

Central swept both the 'A' and B' games over Meridian (Ill.) at home.

The Tigers (2-1) won the 'A' game 47-33 behind 18 points by Larenzo Braxton.

The 'B' team (2-0) won 41-15. Brett Cardin led the way with eight points.

GIRLS

Central eighth-graders

Cape Central's eighth-grade girls 'B' team managed an overtime victory, but the 'A' team fell at home to Farmington.

Meg Yates scored seven points in the 'A' game as Farmington prevailed 39-19, dropping Central to 4-9.

Tamika Wiseman scored 17 points in leading the B' team to a 22-20 victory.
