Jack Jeffers and Chelsea Drum each came away with first-place finishes to lead the Indians' boys and girls cross country teams to first place at the Class 4 District 1 meet Saturday at Jackson City Park.
Jeffers finished the boys race in a time of 16:40.81, while teammate Ean Buffington (16:59.46) finished third and teammate Jackson Givens (17:40.90) placed third.
Drum paced the girls team with a time of 19:37.88, and teammates Carli Knott (3, 20:48.73), Ana Compton (7, 21:20.12) and Tayler Winick (8, 21:28.96) also earned top-10 finishes.
Jackson's girls team finished with 30 points, while Central rounded out the scoring in 12th with 313 points.
In the boys race, Jackson earned 41 points, while Central placed seventh with 188 points.

Eann Bergman scored four goals to lead the Perryville Pirates into the district championship with a 10-0 first-round district win over the Fredericktown Blackcats on Saturday at St. Pius X High School in Festus, Missouri.
The Pirates (24-1) will take on St. Pius, which defeated Notre Dame (17-4-2) 1-0 in overtime.
Emmanuel Miranda and Luke Schlichting each added two goals for Perryville, while Pablo and Emilio Mattingly each contributed one.
Conner Stark, Matt Moran and Michel Rosenquist each contributed two assists, while Schlichting, Miranda and the Mattingly brothers each added one.
The championship game is slated for 4 p.m. Thursday.
