Jackson swimmers won nine events to win a three-team meet Thursday in Farmington, Missouri.

The Indians, led by two first-place finishes by Jack Gard and Tim Statler , finished with 141 points. Farmington placed second with 74, while Saxony Lutheran had 14 points.

Gard won the 50 freestyle in in 25.98 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 1:01.73. Statler touched the wall first in the 100 butterfly (1:00.07) and the 100 breaststroke ((1:21.35). Both swimmers also helped the Indians to victory in the 200 medley relay.

Saxony Lutheran's Ian Cameron also was a double winner, taking first in the 200 freestyle (2:09.34) and 500 freestyle (5:05.41).

MICDS meet

Notre Dame's Lucas Hurley finished first in the 100 breaststroke to help the Bulldogs to a second-place finish in a trianguler meet at MICDS.

MICDS won with 124 points, while Notre Dame took second with 85, two points ahead of Vianney.

Hurley, who also finished third in the 200 medley, clocked 1 minute, 9 seconds in the breast stroke.
