All the local high school events reported Thursday to the Southeast Missourian.

Mason Sander scattered four hits while striking out six and walking one in Jackson's 8-2 victory over New Madrid in baseball action Thursday.

Laban Petzoldt went 2 for 2 with a double, while Dylan Koehler also connected for a double for the Indians (4-3).

The Pirates rallied to a road victory with seven runs in the seventh inning.

Jared Hotop, Tyler Blessing, Colby Brown and Kody Martin all had two hits for Perryville (6-1), which finished with 11 hits. Hotop had a triple and Blessing had a double.

Cale Regelsperger recorded the win with 3 2/3 innings of relief. He allowed three hits and two earned runs, striking out five and walking two.

Dakota Zellner was 2 for 4 with a triple, while Lucas Rohde connected for a double in the win.

The Blue Jays struck for 10 runs in the first inning and added seven more in the second.
