High school roundup: Hogan sizzles in Scott City girls basketball team's win

Katie Hogan's outstanding performance helped lead the Scott City girls basketball team to the title game at the Chaffee Invitational.

Hogan, a junior, scored 21 points to go with 18 rebounds, 10 blocks and six steals in the Rams' 56-50 victory over Sikeston on Wednesday.

Melanie Lacey added four points and 10 rebounds for Scott City (4-0).

Tori Burton poured in 23 points and Samantha Bartels added 19 in Delta's 62-40 win against East Prairie. The Bobcats will face Kelly at 7:30 p.m. today for the right to play Scott City for the title. The loser will play Sikeston for third place at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Oran easily dispatched host Chaffee 57-19 in a consolation semifinal. Haley Glastetter and Chrissy Sauceda paced the Eagles with 11 points apiece.

Randi Wiley led Chaffee with 11 points.
