Natalie Gremaud hit a pair of free throws with 1 second left to end Scott City's comeback attempt in the fourth quarter.

Gremaud finished with a team-high 14 points to go with 10 rebounds and three steals in the Perryville girls basketball team's 40-37 road win.

The Pirates improved to 2-3.

Katie Hogan scored a game-high 24 points for Scott City, which narrowed a nine-point deficit to one point during the final eight minutes. Hogan was held to eight points in the second half after scoring 16 points in the first half.
