High school roundup: Glastetter leads Scott City softball team to victory

Scott City's Jamie Glastetter struck out 12 batters, allowed three hits and belted a home run in the Rams' 8-3 softball victory over host East Prairie on Friday.

Michaela Kiefer also hit a home run for the Rams, who improved to 12-5. Liz Hensley went 4 for 4 at the plate, including a double.

Valerie Bahr and Kiefer each finished with three hits and two RBIs.

Glastetter (9-5) pitched a complete game, walking two and allowing two earned runs.

Drew Reischman had two of Oran's five hits, including a double. He scored teammate Jacob Priggel with a hit during the fourth inning for Eagles' lone run.

Hunter Schlosser took the loss on the mound. He pitched all seven innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs. He struck out two and walked three.

Kyle Fitzgerald had four hits, including a double, and two RBIs for Kelly. Levi Alsup and Mitchell Proctor both added two hits for the Hawks.

Jacob Leonard, the third Hawks pitcher, picked up the win. He allowed four hits and two earned runs over three innings. He walked four and struck out two.
