Alec Bogenpohl and Gabe Henson both hit a double as the host Chaffee baseball team dropped its final regular-season game 7-5 to Dexter on Wednesday.

Breven Yarbro took the pitching loss for the Red Devils (16-8). He threw two innings and gave up seven earned runs on six hits. He walked one batter and had no strikeouts.

Jacob Pedigo was the winning pitcher and also doubled. He threw 5 1/3 innings and allowed five runs (one earned) on eight hits. He recorded three strikeouts and five walks.

Spencer Owens and Cody Pullum each had a double to lead Dexter (9-16).

Garrett Siebert hit a double and drove in two runs to lead the Bulldogs in the win at home over the Class 2 state-ranked Mules.

Tyler Essner was the winning pitcher for Notre Dame (15-9). He threw four innings and allowed two earned runs on five hits with two strikeouts and one walk.

Brock Beacham took the loss on the mound and also doubled for Bernie (19-7). He threw one inning and allowed five runs (one earned) on three hits. He had two strikeouts and one walk.

C.J. Seger blasted a triple and batted in three runs as the Hornets downed the district rival Bulldogs at home.

Dawson Mayo went the distance on the mound to secure the win for Advance (6-16). He allowed one earned run and recorded eight strikeouts and three walks.

Dallan Stotts was tagged with the pitching loss. He threw 5 2/3 innings and gave up nine runs (six earned) on five hits. He tallied 13 strikeouts and walked six batters.

Brent Overbey had a solo home run to pace Zalma (3-7).

Ty Wilthong smacked a home run and a double as Senior Day for the host Rams ended with a five-inning shutout of the visiting Bluejays.

Braden Cox was the winning pitcher and also doubled twice for Scott City (17-7). He threw two innings and struck out four batters. Three pitchers -- Cox, Sam Jordan and Jordan Kluesner -- combined for the no-hitter.

Caden Hillemann and Trent Pobst also had a pair of doubles for the Rams.

Nathan Bolin took the loss on the mound for Oak Ridge (4-19). He pitched two innings and allowed 11 runs (seven earned) on eight hits. He had no strikeouts and walked three batters.

Cassidi Tomsu recorded two goals and one assist as the Indians wrapped up the regular season with a win at home over the Terriers.

Lauren Welker netted the other two goals for Jackson (18-2). Grace Pehle and Maddie Yamnitz each had one assist for the Indians.

Goalkeeper Sam Schnicker had three saves in the shutout.

Notre Dame 10, Poplar Bluff 1

Breanna Westrich and Megan Heisserer scored three goals apiece as the Bulldogs ended their regular season with a lopsided victory at home over the Mules.

Kristen Tarno tallied two goals and one assist for Notre Dame (14-6). Zoe Pleimann recorded one goal and two assists while Maddie Urhahn scored the other goal for the Bulldogs.

Shelby Bauwens notched three assists for Notre Dame. Alaina Baumgart, Rylie Gant, Emma Sievers and Blake Sparkman each had one assist for the Bulldogs.

Goalkeeper Claire Landewee made five saves.

Poplar Bluff dropped to 9-13 with the loss.

BOYS TENNIS

Farmington 5, Cape Central 1

Justin Nguyen was the lone victor for the third-seeded Tigers as their season ended with a loss to the second-seeded host Knights in a semifinal of the Class 2 District 1 team tournament.

Cape Central finished its season with a record of 1-10.

Farmington (11-3) will face top-seeded Poplar Bluff (11-2) for the district championship at 4 p.m. Friday in Sikeston.

The Tigers' netters will return to Farmington on Saturday to compete in the individuals district tournament.

Notre Dame 5, De Soto 0

The third-seeded Bulldogs swept the sixth-seeded Dragons in the first round of the Class 1 District 1 team tournament, a match that was resumed after being rained out.

Collin Smith and Willie Gibbs each picked up victories for Notre Dame (4-7) in singles play while James Stroup/Andrew West, Smith/Ira Holcomb and Garrett Hesselrode/Gibbs notched wins in doubles.

De Soto finishes its season with a 3-11 record.

Notre Dame 5, Arcadia Valley 3

The third-seeded Bulldogs edged out a semifinal win over the second-seeded Tigers to advance to the Class 1 District 1 team tournament championship.

Collin Smith, Willie Gibbs and Ira Holcomb were victorious in singles for Notre Dame (5-7) while Smith/Holcomb and Gibbs/Garrett Hesselrode each grabbed wins in doubles play.

Arcadia Valley wraps up its season with an 8-5 mark.

The Bulldogs will host the district final at 4 p.m. today against the winner between top-seeded Dexter (9-2) and fifth-seeded Potosi (4-11).
