All the local high school events reported Thursday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Central wrestling team posted a rare dual win against Ste. Genevieve, rallying for a 39-36 victory after the Tigers dropped the first five matches at home Thursday night.

The win was the first of the season for Central, which improved to 1-4.

Central coach James Brake said the victory was just the second the Tigers have posted against the Dragons during the last 20 years.

"It's a huge win for us," Brake said. "They're a really tough program."
