The Central boys tennis team split a pair of dual matches at the Columbia Duals on Thursday.
The Tigers defeated Hickman 6-3 before falling to the state's top-ranked team, Rock Bridge, 9-0.
Central swept the doubles matches against Hickman. Pablo Jaramillo, Jake Wright and Ryan Watts were victorious in singles matches for the Tigers.
Wright and Watts came the closest to posting a win against Rock Bridge. They teamed to win the first set at No. 3 doubles before losing the next two 6-1, 11-9.
Wright won the most games in singles play at No. 5 agaomst Rock Bridge. He lost 6-0, 6-3.

Allison Moldenhauer scored twice and assisted on a third goal, while Libbi Schnurbusch and Natalie Gremaud both had a goal and an assist in the win.
Brooke Moll added an assist for Perryville (6-3), which will play for the tournament title at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Advance and Leopold both posted victories to open the tournament.
The Hornets downed Meadow Heights 8-3 behind the pitching of Hannah Clark. She struck out eight and walked four to improve to 7-1. She also added two hits at the plate for Advance (7-1).
Caitlin Petty threw a three-inning no-hitter for the Wildcats (7-0). She held host Oak Ridge hitless in the 16-0 win.

The Notre Dame girls set five schools records in winning the meet, while Notre Dame's boys set eight school records in tying with Valle Catholic for the top spot Wednesday in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
The Bulldogs' Elizabeth Kiblinger (3,200 meters), Myriah Bernard (shot put), Jessica Menz (discus) and the 1,600 relay squad won with school records.
Saxony Lutheran's Nichole Hemmann won both the 100 (17.41) and 300 hurdles (50.64).
On the boys side, Notre Dame's Cole Ross (800, 1,600) and Brady Vetter (100, 200) both set two records in winning individual events and ran legs on a pair of winning relays that broke school marks.
Notre Dame's Seth Sievers set school records in winning both throwing events.
