Central needed a second- and third-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay to squeak out a victory over Jackson in a swimming dual meet Thursday.
The Tigers won seven of the 12 events, but it all came down to the final event. Jackson posted the win behind Connor McGinnis, Riley Talbut, Kristian Troxel and Ryan Gibson. But the Tigers grabbed the next two spots for the 91-89 victory.
Sam Gramling won the 200 freestyle and 500 freestyle to lead the Tigers.
Gibson also was a double individual winner, taking first in the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly.

The Bulldogs, ranked No. 4 in Class 3, got all they could handle in their home win.
Meghan Dohogne, Allyson Bradshaw and Shannon Brennan each had seven kills to pace Notre Dame (23-2).
Brennan added 22 assists while Bradshaw had 14 digs. Lindsay Strieker finished with six kills and five blocks.
JV -- Notre Dame won 2-0.

Erin Bollmann recorded nine kills and five blocks, but it wasn't enough as the Panthers fell.
Jillian Mills finished with six kills and three blocks, while Heather Dietiker added three kills. Mica Morse chipped in six digs for Meadow Heights (13-10).
SEMO Conference tourney
Oran won two matches and split its third match during pool play.
The Eagles swept Charleston and New Madrid and split with Sikeston.
Oran, which improved to 4-12-2, will play for the tournament title Saturday.
