The Central boys cross country team placed second at the Class 4 District 1 meet Saturday to advance to the sectional meet at Parkway Central.
The Tigers had three runners in the top 10, with Eric Schott covering the course in the team's fastest time -- 17 minutes, 17.31 seconds -- to place fifth.
Roy Leighton finished seventh and Collin Summers placed eighth.
Riley Talbut was Jackson's lone runner to qualify for the sectional meet.
The Jackson girls qualified for sectionals by placing third.
Tori Parry paced the Indians by placing second, while teammates Taylor Dickerson finished fourth and Lindsey Seabaugh came in seventh.
Central had three girls qualify for sectionals. Laura Chavez came in 13th, Mary Dohogne took 18th, and Jordyn Richmond followed in 19th.

The Bulldogs scored in the last two minutes of the game to force overtime.
James Holloway headed the ball to Jonathan Lynch, who passed it to James Dively for a goal.
Luke Crites crossed the ball to Tyler Buelow, who netted the game-winning goal in overtime.
Holloway recorded 12 saves for Notre Dame as it improved to 13-11.
