All the scores from Friday that were reported to the Southeast Missourian.

The Advance volleyball team captured the Woodland tournament championship by defeating Leopold in two games Friday.

The Hornets won the first game 25-9 and finished the match with a 25-17 victory.

Meadow Heights took third place by beating host Woodland 25-7, 25-16.

Saxony Lutheran won the consolation match 25-22, 23-25, 25-22 against Jackson JV.

Jordan Hoff recorded seven kills and 17 digs, while Kristy Winter finished with 18 assists to lead the Crusaders.

Notre Dame Volleyballfest

Host Notre Dame won both of its pool-play matches during the first day of the tournament.

The Bulldogs defeated Ste. Genevieve 25-21, 25-16 in pool A, then overtook Central 25-7, 25-17.

The Tigers lost their second match of the day, 25-22, 25-19 to Jefferson.

In pool B, Bell City split its first match with St. Pius.

The Cubs lost the first game 25-20 and won the second 25-16.

Perryville then beat Bell City 25-16, 25-13.

The Pirates also defeated St. Vincent in pool play, 25-13, 25-14.

BOYS SOCCER

Notre Dame SoccerFest

Jackson blanked rival Central 6-0 in the semifinals.

Law Duncan and Keagan Cavanah both netted two goals, while Ryan Schlick and Alex Bowlen added a goal apiece.

Duncan and Clayton Baker both earned one assist.

Austin Baker recorded the shutout in goal.

In the other semifinal, host Notre Dame defeated Carbondale 3-1.

The Bulldogs lost the shutout on a free kick with 30 seconds remaining in the game.

Jonathan Lynch, Logan Buchheit and Darren Arnzen each netted a goal for the Bulldogs.

Matt Ponder had two assists, while Lynch and Duncan Ross both had one.

In the consolation bracket, Saxony Lutheran lost to Marion, Ill., 6-2, while Sikeston defeated Murray 3-0.
