PATTON, Mo. -- Meadow Heights improved to 29-2 on the season with a dominating 15-4, 15-0 victory over Marquand Tuesday night.
Jessica Bollinger led the way for Meadow Heights with seven kills, four kill-blocks and five digs, while Holly Boyd and Ashley Brune had five kills apiece. Boyd also had three service aces.
The Lady Panthers also won the JV match 15-1, 15-2.
Jackson 15-15Chaffee 5-3
JACKSON, Mo. -- Jackson breezed to a two-set victory as it improved its record to 19-8-2.
Jessie Koeper led the way with four aces, two kills and five digs; Erin Hartmann had two kills and seven assists; Kendra Hinkebein recorded two aces and five digs; and Andrea Koeper had four kills, three blocks and two aces.
Jackson also won the JV contest 15-1, 15-6.
Scott City 15-15Cape Central 7-5
SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- The Lady Rams were faced with a 7-0 deficit in the first game, but once Makenzie Cartwright served, she didn't stop as she ripped off 15 straight service points as Scott City won in two sets.
Lindsey Baker had five kills and Amanda O'Brien had four for Scott City (12-11-4).
On Monday, Scott City knocked off Puxico 15-1 and 15-6.
Zalma 15-15Woodland 4-8
MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Zalma had four players with at least three kills as the Lady Bulldogs improved to 15-8-3 with a two-set victory.
Amber Buehler led Zalma with eight kills and also provided eight service points and six digs. Carrie Pixley had six kills, five digs and four points; Mary Kay Hovis added five kills, seven points, two aces and six digs; and Selena Slaughter posted 20 assists.
Leah Dowd had four kills for Woodland, which fell to 9-15-3. Amanda Jordan had nine digs and Ashley Allmon had six.
Zalma's JV won 15-5 and 15-1.
Leopold 15-15Puxico 2-7
PUXICO, Mo. -- Leopold boosted its record to 18-7-3 with a two-set triumph.
Courtney Wesbecher led the way in kills with seven while Holly Jansen had four. Laura Jansen dished out 15 assists, Jodi VanGennip served for 11 points and Nikki Seiler added six points.
Leopold's JV won 15-7, 13-15, 15-2 to improve to 14-4-3.
St. Vincent 11-15-15Perryville 15-13-10
PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- In a thrilling match between city rivals, St. Vincent slipped past Perryville.
St. Vincent (10-11-4) was led by Danielle Sutterer with 11 kills and Chelsey Brown with six. Stacie Lane recorded 26 assists.
Perryville (8-17) got 10 service points and 11 digs from Cindy Rhyne; eight points and 11 assists from Andrea Buerck; five points, four kills, six blocks and seven digs from Natalie Bohnert; and seven assists from Crystal Thieret.
St. Vincent's JV won 15-13, 17-15.
Oran 15-15Charleston 0-7
CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Maria Eftink registred 11 kills as Oran crept within a game of the .500 mark.
Kara Kyle collected 13 service points and Jenny Lange had four blocks for Oran, which improved to 11-12.
Charleston claimed the JV match 15-11, 16-14.
Advance 15-15Oak Ridge 5-7
OAK RIDGE -- Dana Williams had 10 kills and Emily Johnson had nine as the Lady Hornets rolled to a two-set victory.
Amber Bond had 18 assists and six digs for Advance (21-8-2), while Williams had three blocks and Shelby Becker had three aces.
Advance's junior varsity won 7-15, 15-0 and 15-6.
BOYS SOCCER
Westminster 4Notre Dame 2
O'FALLON, Mo. -- Notre Dame suffered a first-round loss in the St. Dominic Tournament.
The Bulldogs (13-6-1) had beaten Westminster 3-1 earlier in the season.
Notre Dame's goals were by Adam Pransanphanich and Tyler Cuba. Adam Ralls and Nick Kapfer contributed assists.
The Bulldogs play Washington, Mo., at 4 p.m. today in the tourney's consolation round.
Cape Central JV tournament
Jackson set up a semifinal showdown with host Cape Central with a 2-1 victory over Poplar Bluff.
Jonathan Lorenz and Stuart Knowlan deposited goals to lift Jackson into today's 3:30 p.m. semifinal game at Shawnee Soccer Park.
Sikeston and Carbondale will meet in the other semifinal. The championship game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday.
In Tuesday's other action, Notre Dame edged Farmington 2-1 to advance to the fifth-place game.
Blake Fisher and Wade Cramer had goals for Notre Dame.
Notre Dame found the loser's bracket when it succumbed to Sikeston on penalty shots in Monday's first-round game. The game had ended in a 0-0 tie.
