Patrick Kohm netted two goals and assisted on a third as Jackson rolled past Notre Dame 3-0 in boys soccer action Monday afternoon at Notre Dame High School.
Kohm scored the lone goal of the first half, depositing a pass from Jon Coleman at the 21-minute mark. Midway through the second half Kohm struck again on a direct kick. He then helped ice the game at the 77-minute mark, feeding Matt Neal for the final goal.
Austin McDowell notched the shutout in goal for the Indians.
The win was the second of the season for Jackson over Notre Dame and improved the Indians' season mark to 12-4-1. Notre Dame fell to 12-4-1.
The second half we really played well," said Jackson coach Zach Walton. "We started putting our passes together. Our defense really played well. We didn't give them too many opportunities."
Jackson also won the JV game 2-1 on goals by Stewart Knowlan and Matt Gregory. Blake Urhahn scored for Notre Dame.
VOLLEYBALL
Bell City 15-4-15
Advance 8-15-11
ADVANCE, Mo. -- Surging Bell City (9-13) picked up a three-set victory over host Advance (16-7-2).
"This was a big win for us," said Bell City coach Carl Ritter. "This keeps our momentum going with the district draws coming up."
The Lady Cubs took second place in the Stoddard County Tournament last week, knocking off two seeded teams in the process, before losing to No. 1 seed Bernie.
Katie Spears just missed a triple-double with 17 kills, 10 digs and nine service points. Front row mate Brooke Stephens chipped in with 10 kills and 13 service points. Setter Whitney Abner had 22 assists and 10 digs.
Advance was led by the 11 kills and six blocks of Dana Williams. Emily Johnson contributed with eight kills, four blocks and seven digs. Amber Bond recorded 29 assists.
Bell City's JV team won 15-4 and 15-3.

FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- Jackson improved to 16-8-2 with a straight-set win over Fredericktown.
Andrea Koeper (six kills, seven blocks and six digs), Jessica Koeper (six kills and nine assists), Erin Hartmann (11 assists, three kills and nine digs) and Jenna Leet (three kills, five blocks and eight digs) led the Lady Indians to victory.
Jackson's JV squad lost 15-17 and 11-15.

SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Scott City swept past the Lady Red Devils to improve to 10-9-3 on the season.
Lindsey Baker and Amanda O'Brien led Scott City with seven and six kills, respectively.
Scott City won the JV match in three sets, 15-5, 13-15, 15-5.

Cape Central 2-6
Meadow Heights (25-1) recorded its 16th consecutive win in straight sets over Cape Central (2-15).
Woodland 12-16-15
Oak Ridge 15-14-7
OAK RIDGE, Mo. -- Woodland (9-10-3) downed Oak Ridge (4-11) in three sets in a competitive match.
"We had to fight for our lives," said Woodland coach Emily Johnson. "Oak Ridge came out with a lot of determination and played us really tough."
Danyel Farrell led Woodland with nine kills, eight assists and four service aces. Amanda Jordan had six kills and 12 assists. Jeni Jackson chipped in with five kills and three blocks.
